Skiffy manufactures and distributes small plastic and metal parts for a wide range of industries and applications.

Established in 1947, the founder of the company, Johan Pützfeld, first manufactured broaches and other decorative metal items by hand. He soon built himself a reputation for technical expertise and was able to progressively grow his company. In 1974 he adopted early plastic moulding technology to produce small plastic decorative items and gas tanks for cigarette lighters, of which 8 million were finally produced.
In the course of the years he transferred his knowledge to the production of small technical and industrial parts and focussed on the b-to-b market. At that time he introduced the brand name Skiffy, named after one of his little dogs.

Nowadays more than 90 employees are employed at various locations, of which Amsterdam and Strasbourg provide production facilities for respectively plastic and metal parts.
